What's New in Chattanooga

Community Centers

We're now offering after-school educational programs at Chattanooga community centers! We want to help area students succeed, even AFTER the bell rings. Programs like ACT/SAT prep, FAFSA prep, and S.T.E.M. education will be offered throughout the fall and spring. View your nearest community center's programming schedule online here, or contact the center directly!

ReLeaf

We're giving away 1,000 free trees in partnership with EPB and Reflection Riding!🌳If you're an EPB customer, you can spruce up your yard through the Free Tree ReLeaf program! Let's make Chattanooga even more beautiful, sustainable, and healthy.

Meet this month's Mayoral Award Recipient: Ashton Gray! Ashton works in the Office of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, where she recently helped EVERY participant in the Branch Technology 3D-Printed Home Pilot Program be placed into secure housing! Thanks, Ashton 👏

The City of Chattanooga exemplifies what it means to be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars. But don't just take our word for it! Two major accredited rating organizations (S&P and Fitch) recently awarded the City of Chattanooga a AAA bond rating — the highest possible score.

In the Community

State of Our Youth

One of the best things we can do for our city's future is to invest in our youth. Last weekend, the City of Chattanooga partnered with community organizations to host the State of Our Youth Gun Violence and Mental Health Symposium at ChattState. Teens and parents from across Chattanooga came out to hear incredible speakers, have candid dialogue, and inspire change for the future. My sincere thanks to everyone who made this event possible!

Chattanooga has long been known as one of the most patriotic cities in America. Each year, Wreaths Across Chattanooga strives to put a wreath on every grave at the National Cemetary, and we need your help to do it. Sponsor a wreath today to help honor our veterans!

Hispanic Heritage Month

Thanks to everyone who joined our inaugural Hispanic Heritage Festival! Hispanic Heritage Month is a wonderful time to celebrate the contributions and culture of Chattanooga's Latino population, and I was honored to join this great event.

Safe communities start with trust between officers and the community. That's why each year, CPD partners with neighborhood associations to host National Night Out events across the city. Thanks to the Brainerd and Woodmore neighborhoods for inviting me out!
